Season 9 of Aqua Unit Patrol Squad 1 has been confirmed on March 1, 2011. Two scripts have already been written. In an article with Matt Maiellaro, he revealed that every year there would be a different name and theme ever year, and this season is "Aqua Something You Know Whatever".

Season 9 was confirmed by Dave Willis via Twitter, by saying that 2 scripts were written for a second Aqua Unit Patrol Squad 1season. It will have twelve episodes that will be made in this season to even out seasons. The theme song is performed by Mariachi El Bronx, alongside with Schooly D. Please note that while some of the titles may be confirmed, Dave Willis and Matt Maiellaro like to mess around with fans, so none can be confirmed 100% until the [as] schedule addresses them as such. This is the first season to date that has an extended opening for its theme song, only seen in three of the ten episodes. (Rocket Horse & Jet Chicken, Fightan Titan, Buddy Nugget.)
