Carl Brutananadilewski (usually referred to simply as Carl) is one of the four protagonists in Aqua Teen Hunger Force, alongside Master Shake, Frylock, and Meatwad.

He is balding, overweight, sarcastic, misogynistic and very hairy. He is of indeterminate descent and his apparel is of the normal variety, which is a "gold" chain, wifebeater shirt, pocketless sweatpants, and flip-flops.

Carl has been known to rock without the need of instructions (as of his popular quote "I don't need no instructions to know how to rock!"). He has also been known to frequently visit strip clubs and enlist the services of prostitutes. He works out of the home making and selling Guatemalan dolls twenty hours a week and takes great pride in his car showing the graphics "2 Wycked". He resides at 328 Fairly Street in South Jersey, NJ. His house contains two posters; one of former New York Giants running back Tiki Barber and the other of former New York Mets Catcher Mike Piazza. In other episodes, he also has a poster of ex-NY Giants coach Bill Parcells ("TUNA"). His known associates other than the Aqua Teens include Terry, an old friend (cousin in "Laser Lenses") who just got out of prison and then commits illegal plastic surgery in a back alley, Vishal his insurance agent, and former classmates Donna Bryson and Denise Zambrano.

Carl's musical influences include Foreigner, Bryan Adams, Boston, Judas Priest, Loverboy, and Ted Nugent, Led Zeppelin (the band's song The Ocean was sung by a wasted Carl to John Kruk and the sirens and its off the "live album"), all of which he has seen live in concert, although he views Boston's More Than a Feeling as the best song in the universe. While many travel to the beat of a different drummer, Carl has specified the drummer he moves to, specifically the drummer from Foghat, despite being unable to remember his name. Carl is an outspoken fan of infomercials, claiming that they are "information you get in a commercial". His habits do not often include indoor plumbing, but this is the strategy to win the affections of "granola girls". Carl has also written his own air guitar song solo called I Want to Rock Your Body ('Til the Break of Dawn).

Carl owns an above-ground swimming pool which is located in his backyard and due to the lack of a separating fence, the Aqua Teens are frequently found swimming in it (without Carl's permission). Carl's relationship with the Aqua Teens is complex and strained; though they generally mean well, he is often the victim of their wacky antics. Despite many attempts to get away from the Aqua Teens, he did in fact once sell his house to Glenn Danzig, though this was mostly to avoid having sex with a giant red ape in space than to free himself from his colorful neighbors.

In the film Carl gets big muscles which are stolen by Dr. Weird to fight Frylock. Carl surives, but most of his body is gone.

In the live-action episode, Last Last One Forever and Ever, Adult Swim and Burger King teamed up to do a casting call for Carl. David Long Jr. plays him, and fans liked his performance.
