Images on Pages About Each Season

Sorry to have kept you waiting. It has recently been brought up that using the same image for each season page (Season 1, Season 8, etc.) is not much better than leaving the page with no image at all. User:Grapesoda22 has even argued that using the image hurts the pages more than leaving them without images. We have a few possible solutions. I'd like everyone to remember to quote what they're replying to, so other users don't have trouble following the conversation. I don't think I really have to say that (considering the people I'm talking to), but I want to make sure we're all on the same page here.

Contents[show]Solution One: DVDs
The first solution is to use cover art for the DVDs where possible. However, the DVDs are not like those for The Simpsons where each season gets its own DVD release with every episode of the respective season in the proper box set in the proper airdate order. We are all aware of this, so I won't be giving any examples. My point is that this leaves Season 6 and any season with an alternative title without an image. The solution within this solution is to use iTunes images, but I feel the iTunes image for Aqua Teen Hunger Force Forever is not that fitting for the season, and the iTunes image for Season 9 is very misleading, what with Pepe the Pepper. Plus, Season 6 still wouldn't have an image.

Solution Two: Episode Images
The next solution would lead to a bit of debate, but it is still something we should consider. Each Season page would have an image taken from an episode that defines the season. For example, an image of "Escape From Leprechaupolis" could be used for Season 1, since that season was a developmental time for the series. The episode in question most prominently used the detective gimmick. Another example is an image from "Allen Part One" for Season 8, since it is the only episode to use the detective theme that was supposedly going to be used for the season. A third example would be an image from one of the Markula episodes for Season 5.

Solution Three: Alternative Titles
We've mentioned the idea of fusing the pages for alternative titles with the pages for the respective season (for example, fusing Aqua Something You Know Whatever with Season 9). This would mean the logo for the alternative title could be used for the pages after Season 7. This doesn't fix the pages for the first seven season pages, but it's still something to think about.

Solution Four: Trailers and Commercials
Grapesoda22 has proposed using trailers and commercials (in other words, videos) in place of images for the infobox. Personally, I'm against this, as he didn't have one for Season 2-5 (although there is at least one that advertises the second half of Season 3). I also worry some of the videos could be removed from its respective website (whether it be due to a copyright strike or simply because the video was too old). That would lead to a few dead links, which typically make the wiki look bad. I am, however, eager to here what everybody else has to say about this solution, and if anyone has any other solutions, I would love to hear them.

Category Discussion (September 26, 2014)

Today, I decided to start an orderly and civil discussion about guidelines for categories. Before, categories had no rules attached to them. People added categories without reading their respective pages, not even bothering to see if the page had been started yet. This coupled with the more-than-two-year period where the wiki completely lacked an administrator of any kind led to a plethora of messiness. On a side note, I would like to thank User:MilezTailzPrower for finally erasing the "Other Characters" category once and for all.
Yes, from now on, most if not all categories will feature a series of specifications. These specifications determine which pages can be added to a page. Today, we are going to try and get several of these specifications (written by one of our newest contributors User:Chibifoxkit) made officlal.
[While we're on the topic, I didn't realize until a couple of days ago that Siberian99 had replied on the ATHF Wiki talk:Style Guide page on the discussion we had a couple of weeks ago.]
I would like to have a discussion on other categories that users would like to add at a later date. This way, users can prepare their arguments. The date of this discussion has yet to be determined, but I WILL edit this post with the date when we decide on it.
Click here for the original guidelines posted by Chibifoxkit. For the discussion that followed, you may have to navigate the history of my talk page. I tried to correct the grammatical mistakes for this forum thread (he was using notepad.exe), so they are not exactly the same as they appear in that earlier message, but they still carry the same basic message.
Now, I shall begin to post the guidelines. Be sure to use the "Quote" button instead of the "Reply" button. That way, you won't confuse people if someone posts before you finish your reply.

Character Lists for Episode Pages

I'll be doing the ones from the Volume 1 DVD. We'll use this page as a check list. If a user has taken notes over the characters that appear in an episode, they should post them here. Thank you.
EDIT: As of January 11, 2014, I have completed character notes for "Rabbot," "Escape from Leprechaupolis," "Bus of the Undead," "Mayhem of the Mooninites," and "Balloonenstein." I am currently waiting for a reply from Siberian99 about adding these notes. Looking back, this page may not be necessary and may need deleting, but I'll let Siberian decide that.
EDIT 2: As of January 20, 2014, I have successfully compiled the character lists for Volumes 1 and 2. I will start Volume (or finish Season 2, depending on how you look at it), sometime in the future. Man, I'm dreading Season 7. Maybe I'll pawn that off on Grapesoda22. Oh, well.
EDIT 3: As of February 5, 2014, I have finished Season 4 (not to be confused with Volume 4/Season 3, which I have yet to do). I will now be doing Season 8, which should go pretty quickly considering there's only ten episodes. Well, technically there's only FIVE half-hours. Whatevs.
Edit 4: This list was getting long, so let's just add what we have to the OP from now on. Please put them in order so we can just look at this list and easily place on them the episode pages:

To-Do List

This topic will be used to highlight outstanding, large bulks of work that needs to be done around the Wiki. When taking on large tasks, please post here so that your fellow contributors may help you. When finishing large bulks of tasks, please point out that these tasks have been finished. Thanks!

Many pages are poorly written or they are full of little-to-no content. Of note are the pages for the more recent episodes, many of which are lacking a plot and have very little trivia.
Add in outstanding references. It is difficult to confirm that contributions are correct when confirming it is difficult.
Clean up categories.
I would like a logo for our Wiki. Unfortunately, I am graphically challenged.
Remove broken or unnecessary links from pages so they no longer appear in the Wanted Pages.
Add a category for every season and add all the episodes to their respective season category - DONE
Delete all the broken videos that people have uploaded over the years - DONE
I finally found a way to incorporate a specific seasons episodes into every episode page. Now I have to add the proper code into every episode page. (Admin only)
